The Dave Lennox Signature™ Collection Cambria™ wood-burning fireplace captures the dramatic spirit of the masonry fireplace with its trend-setting louverless design, gorgeous textured firebrick refractory, and stately cast-iron andirons. The unique vertical aspect design of the Cambria is a leader in the movement toward taller wood-burning fireboxes that allow for a magnificently tall, roaring fire. To enhance the viewing area it's retractable glass doors slide into the sides of the fireplace, completely out of view, and pocket firescreens move discretely out of sight when not in use. The ceramic glass doors radiate heat when closed bringing even more warmth into the room and combustion control allows you to customize the heating performance and enhance the burning efficiency.

The Cambria can use a pre-wired optional fan with simple installation through a hidden door in the bottom of the hearth. A gravity duct kit or forced air kit can also be used with the Cambria to enhance heat recovery and distribution. The Cambria utilizes 10" ASHT+ insulated chimney for maximum performance. In 2002 RSF Woodburning Fireplaces introduced the Vesta award winning Topaz fireplace. The Topaz burned and heated so well we decided to develop a new concept in interchangeable fireplace facings utilizing its firebox.
The result is the Chameleon, a unit incorporating superior combustion technology with a wide range of aesthetic options.
This fireplace is certified for use with 7" ICC Model EXCEL chimney only. The chimney system height from the top of the fireplace must be a minimum of 12 ft.

Clean doesn't mean compromise

Ceramic Glass Hideaway Door

This is the same glass used in wood stove doors. Making the mechanical components durable enough that they never need to be serviced requires expensive hardware, detailed engineering and precision laser fabrication. The door is both beautiful and functional; we’ve eliminated stress placed on the door by making it operate so smoothly that it can be lifted with a single finger. The entire guillotine door mechanism can be removed and serviced at any time, even after the fireplace has been fully finished. Simply lowering the door makes the Renaissance a much more efficient fireplace.

The Firebox and Throat

The entire firebox and throat are lined with Skamol, a material which is durable at the highest temperatures achieved in the Renaissance. It is widely-used as a wood stove firebox liner used by over 80 manufacturers worldwide and has been produced for close to 25 years. Extensive (actually abusive) testing in our laboratory has indicated that not only will it withstand high temperatures, but it will retain its shape and appearance when used on a daily basis.

Heavy-Duty Steel Construction

A typical pre-fabricated wood burning fireplace weighs less than 200 lbs, often closer to 100. Most of the Renaissance’s weight (approx. 750lbs) comes from heavy steel construction. With 20 years of experience fabricating clean-burning, built-in stoves we know how they are used and abused in the field. We built the Renaissance the same way we build RSF Fireplaces, so they can be used on a daily basis and last as long as your house.

The Chimney

The Renaissance uses only Model RIS chimney which is listed to UL 103HT, the UL Standard for chimneys capable of withstanding repeated chimney fires. It is also the highest standard that any large diameter chimney is certified to. Model RIS is also the only large diameter chimney with a lifetime replacement warranty, even in the event of a chimney fire and it even helps contribute to our efficiency numbers.

Renaissance Rumford™ 1500

Our Renaissance Rumford 1500 is the biggest of the big. With nearly 1500 square inches of high quality ceramic glass, there is no other manufactured fireplace on the market that can compare. The 1500 includes all of the amazing features of the Rumford 1000 like our guillotine door, and screen, as well as our specialty refractory panels.

Despite its size, the guillotine door moves with the touch of a single finger. Burning with the screen down allows you to enjoy the crackle and pop of the fire without having to worry about sparks. Alternatively, closing the door prevents warm room air from being lost up the chimney and increases efficiency. The shape of the firebox creates a taller fire and reflects more heat into the room than a traditional fireplace.

The Renaissance 1500 is an excellent alternative to a traditional open hearth fireplace. It has the size and appearance of a stone hearth, but the added benefit of an air tight door, tons of heat and reduced emissions.
